What happens if I give psychiatry a try and I fail to feel better?
There's a very real possibility that you may not feel better immediately or obtain the precise envision you want of yourself. Mental health is quite complex, it requires a lot of effort, awareness and compassion towards yourself as well as in the process.
I will help you process what has happened and help you figure out or makes sense of your feelings and your mental health state. The process is not linear, there may be many variables that is largely outside of our control but the good thing is that you are working on youself, allowing yourself to feel and make sense. This is a where the learning happens.
Do you offer sliding scale?
My service rates are non-negotiable. However, if cost is a factor and you have Medi-cal, I also offer my services at a non-profit organization called Trust Clinic, Lifelong Medical Care located in Oakland, CA.
Recommended Books for Further Reading
I find that reading books can broaden one’s perspective. It allows you to step outside of yourself into the author’s perspective. This shift in mindset can help the process of reflection, build awareness, insight , empathy as well as provide social connection.
