This practice is in memory of my father Xuan whose love of gardening taught me the practice of mindfulness. It provided me the feeling of inner peace that I hope to help you find as well.
ABOUT ME
My name is Catherine Nguyen. I completed my undergraduate at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and the Danish Institute for Study Abroad graduating with a Bachelors of Architecture in 2011 then focusing on high rise structures and healthcare infrastructures. As I moved through my career in architecture into healthcare infrastructures, I became more interested in healthcare, specifically mental health. In 2018 I began my Masters of Science in Nursing Program at University of California, San Francisco. During this time, I completed an internship at the San Francisco Veterans Affairs (SFVA) and worked as a Teachers Assistant in Genetics. By 2021, I graduated from UCSF and was accepted into the residency program at the SFVA. My experience is in complex mental illness complicated with substance use and/or complex medical conditions at Lifelong Medical Care. As of 2025, I am re-transitioning my focus to private practice specializing in functional psychiatry and women’s health.
In my spare time, you can find me in the garden or the great outdoors free diving, stand up paddling, hiking, climbing or traveling off the beaten road with my toddler and fur baby Comet.

PHILOSOPHY
I work with my patients to determine what their primary areas of improvement may be and we help each other find the best tools to better their lives.
